Sing with us
New Members are always welcome, and we would be especially pleased to hear from prospective Tenors!
If you are interested in singing with one of the finest large choirs in the country, then all you have to do is to come along to one of our rehearsals. We meet on Monday evenings, 6.45 – 9pm, at a school in West Bridgford. Our season runs from September to May each year with concerts in November, December, March and May.
You can attend several rehearsals before a short audition with our Music Director, Richard Laing, and there is no subscription to pay until you have passed your audition. Auditions involve singing a short piece of your choice, some scales, a little sight-reading and a few aural tests. They are relaxed, and new members often say that Richard put them at ease and helped them sing with confidence.
We aim to be equally welcoming to everyone regardless of background or characteristics. People join us from many different backgrounds and for many different reasons, but all would agree that it’s a lot of fun and there is always something new to learn. Here you can hear two of our members talking on BBC Radio 3’s “Meet My Choir” in 2016, saying what the Harmonic means to them.
Please do come along if you are interested – we are a friendly large choir of over 150 members, and you will be made very welcome.
